Our delayed Arbor Day event will be
on May 14, 2026
with a tree planting starting at 5:00 pm.
The town will be planting four beautiful shade trees in Mike Wood Memorial Park. Please join us!
In 2022, the Hardesty Board of Trustees began a tree care initiative, with the intent to become a member of Tree City USA. The initiative suffered some growing pains as board turnover occurred through the years, but now in 2026, we are fully committed to the course.
The 2023 fruit trees at Hardesty City Hall that are dedicated to the public are thriving, but the 2024 shade trees at Mike Wood Memorial Park experienced some losses from transplanting. Four high-quality shade trees have been selected for a public tree planting at Mike Wood Memorial Park. A pollinator-attractant tree has also been selected for Hardesty City Hall that will be planted by our staff.
The Town of Hardesty is proud to be able to provide and care for trees to improve the community, year after year.
